The Certified Translation

A certified translation is the translation carried out by  sworn legal translator  and  signed and stamped  by his/her  legal stamp.  The  translator  shall be sworn by a government body such as the Ministry of Justice in the United Arab Emirates or in any other country and printed on the official papers of a translation office approved by the state, accompanied by a legal declaration that it is identical to the original document, and it must be dated and signed. This translation is provided to official bodies such as embassies and official governmental or non-governmental bodies inside and outside the United Arab Emirates such as universities, university councils and courts (courts of the Emirate of Dubai, courts of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah courts, Ajman courts, Umm Al-Quwain courts, Ras Al-Khaimah courts, etc.).   The certified translation shall fulfill the conditions set by the state or the concerned country, which allows it to be used in official procedures, with the translator acknowledging his responsibility for its accuracy. These requirements differ greatly from country to country. While some countries only allow translators designated by the state to provide this type of translation, other countries accept translations by anyone who specializes in the original language and the target language. Between these two extremes, there are countries in which any professional translator can do a certified translation if he has the appropriate qualifications (which may include membership in specific translation associations or possessing certain qualifications).   English speaking countries such as UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand fall within the most permissive area; Where a certified translation is required only a declaration from the translator attesting to the validity and accuracy of the translation, as well as the date, qualifications of the translator and his contact information. This is the type of certification required by UK government bodies such as the Home Office and the UK Border Agency, as well as by universities and most foreign embassies. European countries other than the United Kingdom tend to have stricter laws regarding who can do a certified translation, with most certified official translators hired based on having obtained the qualification specified by the state. For legal and official purposes, supporting documents and other official documents are usually required in the official language (s) of a jurisdiction. In some countries, to translate these documents, it is required that the translator swear an oath to prove that they are the legal equivalent of the original text. Often, only translators from a special class are allowed to take the oath. In some cases, a translation is only accepted as a legal equivalent if it is accompanied by an original, sworn or certified copy. Even if the translator is a specialist in legal translation or a lawyer in his country, this does not necessarily make him a sworn translator; As the procedures for legal translation differ from country to country.   We at Mashareq Legal Translation Services provide legal translation services certified and sworn by the UAE Ministry of Justice, you can contact us throughout the day: : ETA Star House Building, First Floor, Office No. 80, Salahuddin Street, near Salahuddin Metro Station, opposite Reef Mall and Asiana Hotel, Deira, Dubai, UAE [email protected]  [email protected] Phone: 042955500, Mobile: 0551535500, Mobile: 0523405081
